Party with a Purpose! Trans Equity Fundraiser

Come "Party with a Purpose" this Pride to raise money for trans equity while having a blast! Safe space for LGBTQ+ community and allies. To get your tickets click HERE

Being able to obtain identification that reflects your true identity should be a given for all of us, but for many people in transition, this a complicated and often expensive legal process. Trans folks seeking to change their name and gender marker on official government records typically face cost of over $600 in total (compared with $15 for those changing their name at marriage and $100 at any other time). Unfortunately, the job discrimination and isolation from support networks faced by all too many trans people simply put this basic necessity out of reach for many, creating situations that range from awkward to outright dangerous whenever they show their ID. Please join Out in Santa Monica in partying with a purpose--raising money for these legal fees, meeting great people (or old friends!), and having a fabulous time!

Can't make the Happy Hour but want to support? Donate to the Trans Equity Scholarship through our fiscal sponsor, Church in Ocean Park by choosing "Trans Equity Scholarship" on the donation form.

See you on the 29th!

SaMo PRIDE Festival

Join us for the first-ever SaMo PRIDE Festival that will turn the entire downtown district, from the Third Street Promenade through Santa Monica Place to the Santa Monica Pier, into a PRIDE zone. All ages are welcome to enjoy live musical performances, PRIDE-related treats, free swag, games, and much more. The Santa Monica Public Library will share queer books for kids, featuring a special Drag Queen storytime, suited for all ages and abilities. Local service providers and community groups will offer support and resources for the LGBTQ+ community throughout the event along the Promenade. Presented in partnership with Cayton’s Children’s Museum, the Santa Monica Place family zone will provide kid-friendly PRIDE activities, transforming Center Plaza into an interactive space for kids to play and learn about inclusivity and acceptance.

“Colors of PRIDE” photobooth installations, designed by LGBTQ+ artists, will be placed throughout the SaMo PRIDE Festival with fun, interactive props. Photos from the installations will be assembled to create a photographic mosaic, bringing the three districts together in a rainbow of colors that make up the LGBTQ+ Progress PRIDE flag.
